An Infection Control Update for your Office
This two-hour course is approved by the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners and can be brought directly to your dental office.  We will discuss the Centers for Disease Control Guidelines for Dentistry and subsequent updates regarding proper infection control standards and recommendations.  Believe it or not, this class is fun because it involves your participation as well as mine.  I like to have everyone ask questions throughout our time together to keep things interesting and germane to you and your concerns.

Infection Control Guidelines for the Dental Practitioner
Do you need four hours of Infection Control Continuing Education to renew your license?  This is the class for you!  I will cover the CDC Guidelines for dental practitioners and give you the latest updates.  For your information, and fun, we'll discuss infectious pathogens and their routes of transmission.  I will also talk about how to implement the safest procedures protecting you and your patients.

Behavior Style Management That Will Keep People Coming Back to Your Dental Practice
This hilarious two-hour workshop investigates four basic behaviors that people exhibit consistently throughout their day. Through an interactive workshop, people will discover the four behaviors and learn how to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clients.  I highly recommend all of the office coming along to have a great time and learn a little about themselves and others.

Generations:  Understanding and Managing the Differences
Aren't you dying to understand why people younger and older than you are just not the same?  We will break into groups and explore just why this is so.  In two hours, you will acquire a stronger understanding of Veterans, Baby Boomers, Gen X'ers and Millennials.  You'll not only learn to appreciate the differences, you'll develop a more empathetic approach when building relationships with other generations.  This is a great team building workshop and will definitely help improve patient interactions.

How to Manage the Diabetic Patient-
From Oral Implications to Medical Emergencies
Heather Rogers, BSDH and Cathy Lytle, BSDH
My friend Cathy and I developed this three to four hour class to fill the void in current continuing educations courses regarding patients with diabetes.  The two of us will discuss all of the implications involved with this ever increasing condition and what we can do as practitioners to help treat these clients safely and effectively.  The course will cover the definition, signs and symptoms, drugs for treatment, physical and oral implications and medical emergencies.  We provide a step by step protocol for managing the diabetics' appointment from blood sugar to current health and diet. We also add a very personal touch when we talk about how diabetes can impact friends and family of the patient.

Maintaining Implants and Implant Secured Prosthetics
Including the All-on-Four
After working in a prosthodontic practice for 12 years, I have learned some great tricks to cleaning implants and implant secured prosthetics.  This one-hour course is designed to reveal those pointers I’ve learned over the years.  I’ll recommend my favorite instruments and play videos demonstrating how I use ultrasonic and hand scalers to achieve excellent results.
